Carmen S. Gutman has been a member of the California State bar since 2017.  Her practice focuses primarily on civil litigation.  Prior to joining Cholakian & Associates, Ms. Gutman worked at other prominent Bay Area civil litigation firms focusing on general civil litigation with an emphasis in personal injury, construction defect and habitability.  Ms. Gutman has experience in all aspects of civil litigation, including taking and defending depositions, motion practice, mediation, arbitration and jury trial experience.

 

Ms. Gutman graduated from John F. Kennedy College of Law in Pleasant Hill, California.  While in law school she received several merit scholarships for academic excellence. During law school, Ms. Gutman completed a yearlong internship with the Alameda County Public Defender’s office in Pleasanton, California. For undergraduate studies, Ms. Gutman attended University of California Los Angeles where she completed a major in World Literature, with an emphasis in Latin America Literature. Ms. Gutman is fluent in Spanish.

 

When not practicing law, Ms. Gutman enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters.
